My Story

I sit here with my chickens and Roo (he was a surprise) on the first day of summer, to ponder this journey and how the farm came to be. I have had a wonderful career in the event and hospitality industry. The experiences and friendships made over the years, have been some of the best. One aspect that has always been one of my favorites when designing an event are the flowers. They are so inspiring and bring instant beauty and transformation.

The flower farm adventure began when my friends bought a farm on Whidbey Island. The land is so lovely, we began plans to make it an event venue for weddings and retreats. That idea is still in the planning. The flowers were to compliment the venue. Well, I decided to leave my corporate sales job and start the flower farm in advance of the venue being ready. I have turned a long-time pasture into rows of raised beds hosting a variety of flowers.

Gardening has always made me happy. In Seattle I had a little front patch of ivy that I turned into a flower garden with a few of my favorite flowers. I can recall thinking how fun it would be to have lots of them. This spring, as I sat planting the starts and looking at the rows, I realized I always wanted this and here I was making it happen. So excited for the whimsy ahead.
